JM: I love my auto batteries, been using them 6 months and have not ruined one yet with juice. Just make sure when putting on a refilled carto that you blow through both ends, and blow through the battery end last--a couple of big blows to clear out the middle hole. Then wipe the battery end of the carto well. I usually take a paper towel or tissue and a toothpick, cover the end of toothpick with the tissue and run it around the threads inside the battery end hole. As long as juice doesn't get into the battery there is no problem. I don't know why manuals are so preferred. I like both equally.
