So my Cthulhu tube mods (version 1) and Kayfun Lite (2019)'s came in the mail. Holy crap, these are nice. I threw a 1.25 Ohm coil on the Kayfun and it's a dream. Really nice MTL for nic salts.

Heh, I almost bought two of the original and two of the second edition. I ended up grabbing two of the original and two Kayfun Lites (2019) instead. And, c'mon, I gave you guys 8 minutes shortly after the break of dawn to talk me out of it so I gave it a fair chance, right?

Can anyone come up with a good reason why I shouldn't buy a couple of Cthulhu tube mods (or Digiflavor S G MTL if I can find them) to satisfy my 18350 urge?

This is the way to go. I lock all of my mods like that when in use. You can also try keeping the mod turned to the loosest side of your pocket. It's usually towards the inside if you are wearing guy pants or shorts.

There is probably a way to easily generate enough power to heat a coil for a puff or two. I've had hand powered flashlights and radios for camping but was always too lazy to use those and the other ones never failed, so...I don't know?

As far as your budget goes, my suggestion would be to only buy what you absolutely need (the device that you use as the 'battery') and then try to save money by buying less smokes. Use the money you've saved from vaping instead of smoking to upgrade your set up once you've put aside $75 to $100...
