    Using older batteries

If you’re getting 22mOhm consistently for that cell then you’re fine, that is very close to what I get (check the Ratings & Performance table for the number, I’ve forgotten). Your charger(s) are considerably more accurate than the ones I have tested….which is great! But even if they weren’t...

    Using older batteries

This can also be a good way to determine if a cell is badly damaged or nearing the end of its life. Charge the cell very slowly, let sit at room temp for at least a day, check its voltage to the nearest mV, let the cell sit at room temp for at least a week, recheck its voltage. If you’re below...

    Using older batteries

Both. They can be annoying and, if the conditions are right, they can be less safe than they were before. Under certain circumstances a cell can be outright dangerous to use. Unfortunately there’s no way to quantify the risks for any particular cell. All we have are “best practices” and our...

    Bench Test Results: Vapcell F60 - 12.5A 6000mAh 21700

Correct, all capacity tests are done at the industry standard 0.2C rate. It’s not plotted since there‘s essentially no extra info provided by the plot as the voltage sag is minimal. The capacity spec is a pretty useless number, as you noted, since it drops quickly as the discharge current level...

    Bench Test Results: Vapcell F60 - 12.5A 6000mAh 21700

These tests below only note my personal opinion for the ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or...

Whats going on with my 25R 18650s?

A few degrees-C at the most, usually less. The DC internal resistance of a cell at the end of its life just doesn’t rise too much in my experience. You don’t need to adjust the CDR much in most circumstances. The capacity drop however, as you noted, can be very large.

Whats going on with my 25R 18650s?

Too much pressure on the positive end from the mod’s battery contact. Eventually the battery can lose good contact and/or the dented contact can interfere with proper operation of the venting disk below the top contact. This can cause an explosion instead of a controlled venting of the battery...

    Where buy wholesale 18650 batteries

Old tests cannot be applied to the cells being sold now. What’s being wrapped by Efest will have changed by now, if not within months of the cell’s release. Especially since most of these China cell wrapping companies have switched over from rewrapping big name cells the wrapping...
