Your right, it is the TPD version (damn TPD:yawn:), I just wish VV had sent this version to UK/European reviewers, I would have ordered it from Fasttech and had the metal tank section. The PC tank setion is not too bad. Its a nice atty, I think I'll order another from Fasttech, anyways.

I recived mine today but didnt get a glass tank or metal tank section, only a frosted tank section.

If you want easy consistent leg lengths on your coils in this and all postless RDA's, google 'coily tool', I use 2.5mm on the Recurve. My stock Recurve coils always come in at 0.24ohms if it helps.

I still scrub attys in dawn soap with a toothbrush but I think its more out of habbit than need, like others have said a lot of authentic attys seem arrive clean now, I havent smelt machine oil for a long time on atty.

I think its either the screen humming or possibly a capacitor on the board buzzing, if you hold it to your ear long enough and see if it stops when the mod sleeps (probably about 30 seconds to 1 minute), if is does stop (buzzing), I really wouldnt worry too much. Hopefully someone with the same...

It sound very possible it's just a strange mod sound, I have a few that make odd noises when I put them to my ears (why I even listen to my mods I'm not sure,lol), does it happen when the screen sleeps? Also are you using it in temp control?

If it's when the screen is turned on its just the screen humming, I've heard it many times and nothing to worry about but your thread title suggests its when the mod is sleeping, this I'd be cautious of.

You could fire the RDA without a coil in it, if it still says "atomizer short" (as opposed to "no atomizer"), you'll know its the insulator or 510 pin.

Something you can also try is cleaning the 510 connector on the mod with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol, the 510 threading on your tank can cleaned by twisting it on a pencil eraser. It could be just gunk built up there causing a bad connection.
