Hi
I didn't invent the term "Vaper's Tongue," but I was one of the first to frequently post it. It is a subjective condition, not a medical one. All it means is a person can't taste juice flavors or they taste off. While there may be an underlying medical condition causing a diminished sense of taste, "Vaper's Tongue" isn't a diagnosis. This is one of the first places the term was used Taste Buds and Vaper's Tongue
Hydrating and using Biotene rinse/gel are two of the best ways to combat "Vaper's Tongue." Symptoms such as persistent swelling, ulcers or a discharge suggests a more serious problem and should receive a medical evaluation. I'm posting this because not being able to taste juices flavors isn't in itself indicative of a fugal infection. New vapers are often anxious and equating "Vaper's Tongue" with an overgrowth of Candida albicans (Oral Thrush) will likely freak them out.
