Its hybrid (stab wood and acrylic?) so this mod is very light even with a single 18650 in there.

hey thanks again, went ahead and got the Merlin mini, loving it...too bad its 2ml but thats the tradeoff for shorter RTAs.
Seriously, my merlins are the only RTAs I use now, single coil, 4 wrap 3.0mm diameter premade alienwire, 20-25W.
Thanks for all the responses. I forgot to specify I do DL.
I love the Merlin as it's the only thing I vape now with all the other 30 something rtas sitting on the shelf collecting dust.
Shall look into the Merlin mini
Been away from the forums for some time.
I'm looking for an RTA similar to the Merlin: Single coil, easy to build (velocity deck), easy to wick (virtually leak free no matter how you wick it) BUT with a shorter/smaller form factor.
Thanks!
Right, normally my wicks are brown throughout after weeks of vaping. However, the OP's wick is probably only a couple days old.
And again, if it is indeed scorched, theres no way the vape will taste right. You can tell immediately from vaping when you should rewick.
Trust the taste test :)
I've done it when I first started vaping, I've done it while traveling, but now-a-days I just pack a 4 slot Xtar charger with me wherever I go. Gives a better peace of mind IMHO.
With charging on the mod, you're trusting the mod maker to provide a lasting OB charger

its like driving manual vs auto.
With TC, you get a consistent temp / flavor / vape
With power, you control how hot you want your coils to go before you stop
[edit] after fiddling with TC on various mods (dna, yihi chips) I actually prefer power mode. I find it to be a more satisfying vape
Really no set in stone rule of how hard to inhale to keep them coils cool. You need to test out your gear to see how much air is required at what power level with what type of coils (resistance, complex vs simple wire, dual/single, etc).
