My charger does this too. The battery is charged though. I cleaned the contacts on the chargee and haven't seen it stay red for a while. It did do it again at one point but the battery actually is charged if the blue led goes out.
I think I may try and sell my sub ohm battery and buy a cf sub ohm mod. I'd rather have that and two batteries charged and ready to go than putting this thing on the charger for a really long time.
I just did a 26g 6 wraps for a horizontal coil build. I stuffed enough cotton to prevent leaking and its working great compared to the amount of wire wasted trying to get a vertical build working.
Thanks so much guys. Was able to build a horizontal coil using a 1/8 drill bit..not the best coil since its harder to wrap on a smaller bit but I finally got it to fire. I used my Japanese cotton and had some leaking into my mouth but fluffed the cotton some more and pulled it through a bit more...
My charger does that sometimes too remains red. But according to aspire the battery should charge in about 4 hours. I always need to leave mine overnight in order for it to complete.
What chargers are you guys using? I've gone through three chargers with this battery. The first one got stuck and broke on the battery but I was able to unscrew it off. The second one charged the battery but it took over 8 hours. Afterwards, it stopped working.
The third one I have now also...
Well I tried it last night, 6 wraps of 26g, but I couldn't get it to fire right. It would only produce a slight vapor and then some burnt taste. Not sure why, but maybe because I couldn't snip the ends very close. Probably because I had such a hard time wrapping the cotton around that the coil...
I think I'll probably do verticle first before trying horizontal. I may just be able to take out the original coil, hold it over the stove and then rewrap it in Japanese cotton. I think I found some Allen keys I can use to create one.
Hmm ok I may have a small screw driver in the car somewhere. People on reddit mentioned using a 5/32.
By the way what charger are you guys using? My ego USB screw on charger broke already and I've had it only 3 days. Light just stays red on the charger. I really wish the sub ohm battery would...
I can't find anything around that I can use to make a coil around the size of 5/32. I'm gonna do 6 wraps of 26g. Of course every Walmart I checked was out of those single drill bits.
I've read that people have had no issues using wire without soldering. I will be building one myself once I get a pair of cutters. I've only had it 3 days and its soaked in juice where if I take a draw I get hit with a bit of juice spikes.
I have an aspire atlantis and have some Japanese cotton and 26 guage kenthal wire. I want to try rebuilding the coil and it does not seem hard, 5/32 drill bit, etc but how do you keep the coil from burning the rubber grommet? I think the stock coil has some resistance wire soldered on to the...
The funny thing is, when I started vaping a couple of years ago, I didn't see anyone with interest in ecigs. Just recently I've been driving around and I have seen people with vaporizers and custom ecigs.
I'm suprised I have not been piled over yet and asked what it was.
Sent from my...
Well this sucks, the e cigs have been banned from public places in Philly and I think New Jersey as well. Now vapors need to go outside with smokers if they want to use their device.
So stupid, I know we don't know all chemicals involved but there is a difference when you couldn't run because...
