Here let me give you a link to some traditional japanese music: Voyager's Golden Record: Crane's Nest "Tsuru No Sugomori" _Goro Yamaguchi - YouTube Tsuru no Sugamori (the nesting of the cranes). It's a zen meditation piece performed on the bamboo flute, the shakuhachi, traditionally by japanese monks called the komuso. I tried to select songs that had no video, just a picture. You should still be able to watch and hear them though. Make sure you set the video quality down to 240p (it's the little cog or gear looking button on the bottom right)
I am a classical guitarist so I listen to lots of baroque period music as well as spanish guitar and flamenco. Besides that I am also an electronic musician composer so I listen to a lot of downtemp, ambient, but also industrial music (best of both worlds). I also listen to death metal, black metal, 90's alternative. I will give anything a try as long as it isn't pre-manufactured bullcrap music. I even listen to that guitar and pan flute music you guys make down there in the jungle
