Actually it's not another manufacturer. They just offer the OEM pods rebuilt with a different coil in it. Great video showing how to break down, dry burn and rewick the Minifit pods.

I've tried kanthal, NR-R-NR and SS wire when rebuilding the Minifit and I prefer the NR-R-NR. Haven't tried the prebuilt coils that you've listed from FT but I'd recommended these as they seem to fit well for me when putting a new coil in (replace the silica wick with cotton). $2.55 Pre-Coiled...

If you're looking for pods with a good life check out the Minifit. Easily can get 10 refills out of one pod and the pods can easily be rewicked and the coils can be replaced too. My Minifit has been running strong for the last 7 months (surprised I haven't lost it yet since it's so dang small).

MFS restocked on the black and SS ones at the $16 sale price but now it looks only SS is still in stock so I ordered a SS one. Looking forward to finally trying this RDA with all of the good things I've been hearing about it!

28G is probably too thick for the pod. I've just used 316L for SS wire but I can't see why 430 wouldn't work. Just want your coil to ohm out to around 1.5 to 1.8 if you can. I believe the NR-R-NR wire is nichrome. Can't do direct links per ECR rules but you can just search for the following SKU...

I mix juice for the Minifit at 70PG/30VG. I think it wicks much better and I've never had a dry hit in the 6+ months I've been using the Minifit plus it's a little more stealthy vapor wise with the lower VG. I've rebuilt with 32G SS and 34G SS but I prefer the NR-R-NR 1.5 ohm wire that I picked...

I was able to rebuild one of the pods from the pack without the window that I got from eciggity's BF sale with no problems. Maybe I received one of the older packs that can still be rebuilt? Obviously relieved that I can rebuild the newer ones I received.
