If they are the spring buttons, replace the springs.
Somewhere your button is causing resistance which is why they are getting hot. I've read many times, for whatever reason, it is the button spring...
Hybrid refers to the mech, not rda.
"Standard" mech has a center pin between the atty (or rda/rta) and the battery.
"Hybrid" mech there is no pin. The atty sits directly on the battery. That is why they need more care and time to learn. They are very easy to short if your not careful.
As you first mech let me leave you with this from an Apollo clone owner:
I use flat tops. Seem to work best for me, and my othet mods.
Check the top cap for that insulator.
Make sure, really sure, the center pin in your atty is sticking out far enough before screwing it on the mod...
