Is the USB adapater supposed to get hot? Fire hazard?

I've recently noticed that the USB adapater that plugs into the wall charger gets pretty hot to the touch. It got warm enough to melt the adhesive off that tiny sticker.

Is it supposed to get fairly warm or is my USB adapted defective/worn out?

Would love to know if this is normal or a fire waiting to happen

I would stop using it and try another. What are you charging and are you sure it is the correct one for your device?? Maybe a problem with the device you are charging.

What is the rated output amps of the USB adapter?

slightly warm is fine, even expected. hot enough to melt glue tho is a problem. you should contact customer service about the issue.

Oi, ok sent halo an email.

It was the halo USB adapter/wall plugin that came with my Halo Triton kit. The battery I was charging was my Halo 1300 mah battery.

That said, I'm guessing it could also possibly be the battery. At random times it shuts off without me pressing it 5 times rapidly. As well as sometimes it doesn't have enough 'juice' to heat up the coils despite it being fully charged. I actually emailed them about the battery shortly after receiving it, they just asked if I cleaned it :S
