Agree! Isn't Maine's motto supposed to be something like "Live free or die"?

That would be New Hampshire's state motto, and they do tend to still believe in it.
Maine has always had a similar attitude, but their 'quiet determination' is being overrun by the really loud nannyists.

it gets cold in Maine, right? And what happens when you are outside, breathing in the cold? you exhale vapor, right? and you might have fun while doing it. Kids might see it, and start smoking. So the solution is obvious, no outdoor activity should be tolerated in maine when breath might be visible. Sends the wrong message!
