Subtank Mini Shorted (Now it taste like burnt rubber)

So I've been vaping for about 2 years now, and I had my subtank mini since it was released. My usual setup was the subtank mini and a cloupor mini. And then one day happened I decided to try it on a smpl mod. All of a sudden it shorted on me, now ever since that happened all the hits I take from my subtank just tastes like burnt rubber. Are there any fixes for this kind of situation or should I just buy a new one?

I literally took everything apart and checked it. The rba deck was looking pretty fine. What worrying me is the rubber gromet thats holding the pin. looked a little burnt. Tried washing everything but still has that burnt rubber taste.

I also tried it with a new coil head. Still has that same burnt taste.

You need to remove all rubber parts and give it a nice bath. Then double check for burned rubber. Might be good idea to buy a new deck,they sell them solo for 8 bucks.

The 'rubber grommet' that holds the pin is the insulator, if burnt it will cause a funky taste until replaced & all parts cleaned thoroughly.
Sometimes a vodka or pga soak then a rinse will work, or white vinegar & dish washing liquid and then a thorough rinsing.

I'm talking about the one that's holding the pin of the 510.

I see. haven't seen anything like that sold on it's own. Might need to buy the whole bottom air intake control unit.

Going to need a new base, Sweet-Vapes has them for something like $8.
