Hey all im new to the forum and i have a question. As far as mathematics go i could use some help. I made a juice that i really like it has 20% flavor 4% sweetner, though i did somthing to alter it and im at a confusion as im afraid its breaking down into half percents but it taste perfect for everyone that has tried it. Basicly what i did is pulled 5% out from alll ingrediants with a syringe and added 5% of an aditional flavor to tie it together. Though im not sure if i should just minus 1% from the flavoring and sweetner and wing it as i make 120ml and i would like to perfect this ration.

Could one of you help me understand the mesurment i have compleated in a 120 ml bottle. Thanks!

I think I get what you are saying here, so I will try to break down the numbers as best as I can.

You made enough to fill a 120ml bottle. Of that, 20% was flavoring, 4% was sweetener, and the other 76% was unflavored.

That means you had:

120 * 0.20 = 24mL flavoring
120 * 0.04 = 4.8mL sweetener
120 * 0.76 = 91.2mL unflavored

You removed 5% of each of these, which means you have 95% of each left.

24 * 0.95 = 22.8mL flavoring
4.8 * 0.95 = 4.56mL sweetener
91.2 * 0.95 = 86.64mL unflavored

That gives you a total of 114mL. If you added 5% of 120mL of the other flavor into the 114mL, you added 6mL of that flavoring.

That means your final percents are:

22.8 / 120 = 19% flavoring
4.56 / 120 = 3.8% sweetener
86.64 / 120 = 72.2% unflavored
6 / 120 = 5% other flavor you added in.

----EDIT----

At the end of the day, if I were to try making that again, I wouldn't even think about going to the hundredths of a mL. It is MUCH easier to just go half mLs. I would just do this:

23ml flavoring(comes out to 19.167%)
4.5mL sweetener(comes out to 3.75%)
6mL other flavor(comes out to 5%)
86.5mL unflavored(comes out to 72.083%)

They aren't the exact same ratios, but being as minor as it is, I doubt you would ever know the difference.

I would suggest starting over. make a few small (5ml or less) batches with increasing flavor by 1% at a time. once you've found the taste you're looking for, go and make a big batch.
I would agree this is somthing that i have done with all my flavors though i had a hunch. I removed 6ml and tested it in the 6 ml batch with the extra flavor in it then replaced the original batch to have the final batch be fixed.

so, are you gonna post the recipe here or what?:rickroll:
This is my fruit circles from apprentice.
Sweetner is 25% dillutied sucralose in pg
2.5ml sucralose in 10ml. Put in boiling water on the stove and stiring.

This is by far my favorite that i have made. All flavors are from FA
