It would seem to me that vaping like many groups under attack has tried to make appeasement, ex If we say sales to adults only -they will like us and let us be - If we sell juice in plain brown wrappers with big poison stickers -they will like us and let us be. If we follow the rules and vape only in permitted places- they will like us and let us be - If we only blow tiny puffs -they will like us and let us be. If all vapers everywhere hide their tats, lengthen their skirts and remove their bling-they will like us and let us be.
THEY WILL NOT LIKE US THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO!
KICK ...

Yeah... But think how Boring Life would be if You Didn't want to?

Sure... That is why I have Reversed my Position.

I now Believe that we should put Anything we want on Bottles of "Juice".

Satanic Symbols, Porn Images, Cartoon Characters, whatever we Want.

And if they want to Screw with Us, we'll Claim 1st Amendment Protection.

God forbids that zoid gets the idea to regulate adult novelty shops. "For the children".

If people were better parents there'd be no need for discussion.

I propose a tax on poor parenting. And banning it in public spaces. Plus such parents shall be tattoed on their foreheads with messages like "Bad parenting kills children" and similar.

I suppose a scarlet letter could be larger and bolder to be seen and understood easier from afar.

The surgeon generals version could be rotated from person to person and placed as a frontal tramp stamp.

This is progress. ;)

Also mandatory T-shirts with graphic depictions of accidents due to parent neglect and/or other poor parenting issues. Wounds, burns, effects of corrosive substances, etc.

Same thing Congress is picturing on the joose labels, perhaps. Should be an easy sale for yes votes.

It also sounds like he is actually accusing other vendors of marketing to kids, as opposed to just having the perception of marketing to kids. That is thinner ice than I would dare to walk on.

Issues like this are what make me think that maybe we should be fighting the anti-smoking propaganda as well. The marketing to kids argument was BS back then, and it's still BS now, just with a new target.

Influential leaders of the E-cig industry met at the FDA Headquarters. It didn't say they met any FDA leaders.

The quote was from someone supposedly influential in the e-cig industry (Jeremy Dollar) not from someone from the FDA.

Look, I agree that the cutsy labels can and probably will be used against us. Let's go ahead and get rid of all the cartoon (whatever) labels. What now? Once they have won that battle what's next. Flavors? Probably. There will always be more that they want us to give up. It isn't going to stop until they have convinced the general population that what we are doing is going to impact them. We are impacting the powers that be in the pocketbook.

Our health and protecting the kids doesn't matter to them. Bottom line is...Money and lots of it.

Yes... We are going to fight Flavor Restrictions.

And having what is Perceived as Responsible Labeling is going to go a Long Way in Helping us to fight Flavor Bans.
