Isaac,

I'm the paralegal for my attorney-husband, and we do a lot of foreclosure defense, business, and bankruptcy work. Since hubby isn't licensed in PA, I can only advise you to contact a foreclosure/bankruptcy attorney in your state ASAP. Most foreclosure defense attorneys are also bk specialists--it goes with the territory. Here's a link to a group of attorneys who've gotten specialized training in this:

We've been doing foreclosure defense work for several years, and have gotten some surprisingly amazing results for our clients. You guys need expert advice, as your situation is extremely unique. I wish we could help you out!

Jeez J5, maybe he was having a really 'off' day? At the least, he seems to know what needs to be done anyway. At this point, if you go to someone new it would be like starting at square one, much like this guy in a sense.I'm sorry man.

Guys, I need some advice here. The home preservation specialist called last week and I have been calling her daily to no avail. They said an hour ago that our deadline to appeal just ended yesterday, meaning no help what so ever. Currently we owe them 4800. I tried to give them at least 1 months worth of payment 1200, but they refused and said they need at least 2400 by the end of May and another 1200 by end of June. We will still be in the arrears, but not at foreclosure status as we are now. They were talking about liquidating the property etc. Now, my merchant processor has 10,000 of our funds on reserves. They can possibly return a few thousand to us, but I'm not sure. At this point, I'm wondering if it is even worth it.

Same story here, Fran. And I'm still digesting the fact that you didn't win the post contest. You may have noticed that I had predicted you would, or maybe you did not. I called it for midnight (just passed), and YOU.

Bummer.

The marine and I, we have a bit of history. He's a good guy - very good intentions. Just argumentative as they come though. All in good fun (when seen from the proper perspective.
