I've got the eroll and I can't get more than two hits without it burning. I've had this a but with the 510cc but not to this extent. Am I drawing too much/too frequently?

Try priming the atomizer with 3-4 drops or cover the side air hole with a finger and draw a few times to prime it. Sometimes its just a bad batch of attys.
It's probably wicking too slowly, especially if when waiting a while between drags it tastes fine. I agree that thick liquid could be causing or exacerbating the problem. More PG and less VG probably would help.
I think the 510cc uses the same atomizer, which in my experience, doesn't easily behave well with high VG content. I go through a lot of extra trouble to make the eroll work with high VG, but I'm tired of the frustrations and am now going back to high PG.

Sometimes the wick is just too dense. I run a needle through it. Just be careful not to damage the coil. Some people make ss wicks.
That has worked for me. Also re-wicking with cotton. (I learned those tricks reading this forum.)
Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll try them as I go! Sometimes it works so well but more often it does not.
