Recommendation needed

Hi,
This is a little bit of a silly question to ask but I was cleaning my aspire Atlantis tank for selling to a buddy of mine, and I removed the drip tip from the top of the tank and cleaned it. Now the seal isn't as efficient as it was before. Is there any suggestions on how I can restore the tip to its original efficiency?
