I think the whole "pulse rated " thing I a bunch of BS made up by the vaping crowd. I would never trust it.
So the pulse isn't the Aliens trying to talk to me :(

Could well be that it's "made for" MXJO by LG, or something like that.
In a sense, "pulse" WOULD be a legitimate specification - after all, we don't press the fire button on a mod for an hour, lol. But there's no definition of a pulse - what is that, OK for 10 seconds? OK for 1/10th of a second? So for now, it's kind of meaningless because you can't COMPARE between batteries.

The State of Confusion
I heard these batts last a long time and available in flat top or button top Li-ion

Yeah....Yeah....

I've seen these, they're the 26650000000000 series, 400 Gigawatt, 30 day mAh batts!

The mod is bigger than the battery!

....takes a gallon of E-juice to barely fill the tank!...LOL o_O

I don't know - I only use AW in 18490 size...
But the old 2000 mah was 10A, and the new 2200 mah is 20A.
In other words, I think they all went UP when the latest ones came out about 8 months ago.

I don't think there was a 24...

Here is something that is kinda strange o_O
I see websites selling AW 18650 IMR 1600mAh 24A Batteries :?:

But the AW website says the 1600mAh battery is 15A
AW 18650 IMR Li-Mn battery with 1600mAh, 11,90 €

The AW 18650 IMR 2000mAh is 10A
AW 18650 IMR Li-Mn battery with 2000mAh, 14,32 €

And the AW 18650 IMR 2200mAh is 20A These are the ones Provape sales.
AW 18650 IMR Li-Mn battery 2200mAh, 15,90 €

So is the 1600mAh 24A a discontinued AW battery or are these people full of it

The battery is rated 15C, and has 1.6 Amp hours, so 15 X 1.6 = 24 Amp
The C is the max discharge rate.
That's the way I leaned it in the RC world.
But the context there was to figure how many amps you need your speed controller circuit to be able to handle, and to leave some cushion. Both pursuits are pushing the boundaries at times, of what the batteries and electronics can handle.

I have a small collection of lighters lol
I might have to dig them out for some pics.
I have one that's a tape measure, one with the dice in it, and one that looks like a camera but it's a flashlight.
Did you know that Zippo's all have a Roman number on the bottom, the higher the number the better it is or more it's worth.
And no matter how old a Zippo is they can be sent back to be fix.
Fixed for free or just fixed & you pay the cost?

Xtar VP2.
I've never had any trouble with my Nitecore, but I just figured since I've just gotten some new top-notch batteries lately (Samsung INR-25 and Sony VTC5) I might as well.

The nitecore and a couple CGR18650CH (greys) and NCR18650PD (greens) are gonna be 2 years old next week! Working fine, but I might let them just go into retirement healthy. Maybe they can work part-time as Walmart greeters or something.

Now that I think about it, that means most of my 18490's are even older than that. They see fairly light use - but I do run my ProVari Mini at least a little bit every day....
Do tell....where'd you get the 5 from? Those have been unpurchasable ( <~~made up word ) for like forever.

That changed about 3 weeks ago.
RTD, Illumn, Sun-Vapers, Kidneypuncher, everyone has them again...
Theories include that there's another facility making them - possibly that there always has been, and/or that Sony is always going to deny they're available because they don't want them sold this way, but only for battery packs for power tools...
Anyway, the best vendors are convinced, and they're testing like VTC5's, so I bought one. Liked it. Bought a couple more...
Disregard my previous post ..... if only I'd read further. :p
