After having to vape my gennie without ribbon wire since going temp limited back in October I have finally got some ribbon Ni200 (was too low res for the DNA40). One word FLAVOUR

Beats this hands down also in Ni200

Good fog machine though, only had it up to 100 W, not a cloud chaser and all my liquid is 100% PG.

This is what happens when you guys tell a noob to get a fat tipped soldering iron

DO NOT USE THAT ON A DNA200 OR ANY CIRCUIT BOARD!!!!

When these guys say fat tip, they mean 2-3mm. I used a 3mm tip on my Ungar for 12g on batteries.

Going to have to agree!
There's nothing wrong with the Weller he has I use the same one :)
It mite not be the real fancy iron some of the other's here use But it will get the job Done :)

Hmmm.... Well Evlov is really staying in the headlines, good for them! (and us :)) Did you read the blog post that was linked in your link? Confirmed: Whiteout DNA Dual-18650 Build Kit Is Coming! - Cloudmaker Technologies
This really open my sleepy eyes!

"These specs would offer the dual-18650 Whiteout DNA unparalleled battery life, outstripping the standard 3S LiPo pack and making the dual-18650 DNA Build Kit even more appealing! However, it’s worth adding that the DNA200 can now use 2S LiPo batteries (7.4V nominal, 8.4V peak) as well, which offer up to 30-40% more capacity than a 3S LiPo of the same size, as they contain only 2 cells instead of 3."

Is that really true? Can two 18650's offer more capacity and longer longer life then a 3S LiPo of the same size?

The tip that comes on it really isn't that big. It's probably the same size as the solder pads on the board. Figured that would be useful having the chisel tip

I would tend to disagree with statement that a 2S lipo offers 30-40% more capacity than a 3S lipo. That sounds like a lot of WhiteOut SPIN to me.

The energy density of current mainstream Lipos is all very similar. Watthours is Watthours for a given weight of Lipo.

Were you to get more "life" out of a 2s Lipo, it would be because the Mod is now limited to 133w.

As for the 18650s, John posted the curved for the HG2s. You get about 15.5 Watthours out of a pair. So yes, a pair of them would outlive the 900-mAh lipo at 10 Watthours, but put a 1300mAh bat in there and you would be about the same. A 1300mAh lipo measures about 67 x 33 x 20, two 18650s measure about 66 x 36 x 18, so the size about the same. The difference being in the packaging.

18650s do not have more energy density than Lipos.
