So I've had my Atlantis for about a year now, starting out I had it on the Aspire CF Sub mod, I had no idea at the time that it was junk. So, I went and got my self an EHPRO SPD a5 50watts. Now this this thing hits like a champ. I'm current running it at 50watts with a two different 3mg juices (a 20/80 and 10/90) producing great plumes at 50watts. Like most vapers, I wanted to go bigger. So I went and got myself a Nebula rda. I'm wrapping my own coils (26 gauge Kanthol A1 wire with Japanese Organic for wick) and getting .45ohm on my Macro wraps. I've got my deck set up for dual coil, still on the EHPro. So, with all that said.... My Atlantis is producing a thicker, more continuous cloud. While my rda is getting great balls of vapor they are not fluid. After I begin to blow out the vapor in my lungs is basically gone. So I have a great beginning plume but not much after. My question is what should I do to fix that? Should I go with a dual battery Mech for the RDA?

Edit: Forgot to mention I swapped the terrible Atlantis V1 .5ohm BVC heads for the Atlantis V2 .5ohm OCC heads. Thanks in advance

Your wicking might be too tightly packed. If the juice is restricted, it flows slower and there's less to vaporize. Try using a little less and see what happens.
I've tried, to no avail. I'm curtly using a thin strip from my pad, then pulling the layers apart (the pad is about 6 soft layers), when I wick I make sure to keep them nice and fluffy.

These are my pads and the small piece of the right is the section I use for wick. I pull it apart vertically, roll it to remove the frayed edges. So it's a nice soft roll. Insert it through my coils and cut the excess. Really loose and absorbant.

Sorry but that had to change the oil in my car. But as you can see there's a good amount of wick soft rolled in the coil. After I add juice and it expands I tuck some under the coils into the well. Two dual slots for air flow. The shield allows all four slots or just one side (two slots) to be opened. I puff all open. I even pushow the vapor out, just to let the coil's heat.

Very strange def enough airflow... Maybe there is some sort of a bad connection... How do the threads of the 510 connection on the rda look(are they clean)?
Yeah there clean. Great connection. Went to a local shop to grab some more liquid and talked to the guys there. At 50watts with .4ohms I'm just not getting enuff power to the coils. So, they told me to choke the air flow, that way the coils can heat more. It worked like a charm. Not exactly chucking yet but still a nice milky plume. Getting a dual battery box mech soon so once I get the technique down, I'll be chucking with the best of them. I really justhink need to get the distance push down.

Try a higher build. Those coils are pretty heavy gage and 50 watts won't do it. Go for a 0.6 to 0.8 build with that same wire... or use a thinner gage if you have some. To power that setup, you'll probably need 60+ watts and ideally somewhere in the 70 watt range... 50 watts is only BARELY starting to power it enough to produce good vapor... that's why there's weaker vapor than you'd expect. Bottom line: more power or a higher build

Your wicking technique looks fine, so that's not an issue. Try a .28 awg, 0.6 ohm dual build with two 1.2 ohm coils at your choice of diameter... I'd suggest 3mm or so with the 28 gage and 5 and a half wraps each... with a dual coil, it should be pretty much dead on 0.6 to 0.65 ohms, and at 50 watts, it should hit like a freight train and fog up the room.

Another thing I meant to suggest is to hold your fire button down for a second before you start taking your draw that might just make the difference you are looking for
Yep. At that low wattage (low for that coil setup, anyhow), a bit of ramp up time will help. I think you'd still be better served with a slightly higher build at 50 watts, though.
