Hey there everyone.

Do any of you already have the special edition snow wolf 200w? If you do how is the battery life? Can you list the res, watts, temp, and vape time? It looks soo good. I really want one and I hope there aren't any serious issues with it. I've read it can now lock the resistance of an atomizer as well as no more automatic shut off timer. Did I mention it looks sooo good?

I got a sigelei 75w tc and the mod itself is great. Feels good, looks good, vapes good, but man that battery life is gone If I use my tugboat at 50w. Since it's single 18650 a 0.5 ohm normal kanthal build at 50w lasts like 3 to 4 hours at best. Mostly because of the battery sag. When the battery is at about 3.7v charge it just can't keep up with 50wats. :c

So I went ahead and looked at some of the new dual 18650 tc mods. The special edition snow Wolf 200w caught my eye. I saw the sigelei 150w tc but I think it's ugly imo. Don't much like the ipv 4 or the ipv 3li either. DNA 200w sounds good but I haven't seen many mods that have this chip yet, Seen a few pics of the dna 200w vapor shark. Looks alright. Don't know much about it.

I saw the Tesela 165w tc, it looks alright but what are you guys's opinions? Is there another great dual 18650 tc mod out there for under $140?

...Should I just wait a while for the new dna 200w chips and mods to make their way around the market? If so what's the estimated price point of some of those mods/the vapor shark dna 200w?

I can't speak to the special edition, but I have the previous version, and it has quickly become my all day vape. At about 40-60 watts with a pair of vtc5's I got a good solid day of performance out of it.I haven't gotten into the TC yet, as I'm using Kanthal wire, but I had no issues. It's heavy and solid in the hand, but small in profile (the main reason i got it over the IPV or Seig devices). I carried it all day every day in Vegas this past week and had zero issues. Its my second box (after an eleaf 50watt) and having the longer runtime while out and about was priceless.

It sounds great man. I might just have to order it. I don't use 200watts lol I don't really even use 100watts. Highest I've gone is about 60 watts on my sig 75. I mostly just want more battery life with having higher wattage an option. You said you have sony vtc5s... Im having a hard time finding them. I was on ilmun and saw them but they were out of stock and have been out of stock for a while. I ordered some Samsung 25rs because many people say those are pretty good to.

It's kinda small? That really makes me want one. I'm on their asmodus's webpage right now just trying not to add it to my cart haha.

I wouldnt say small, but it is smaller then the other high wattage temp control box mods. A bit bigger then the hana boxes from a year or two ago. If you are not pushing high amps, then the Samsungs will preform well, and there is a new LG HE3 (I think, check on the Battery subforum) that has 3000 mah on it. It's a 20 amp battery, and looks made to run in box mods. Vape royalty has the original for about 110, which is about 5 bucks better then when I bought it a month ago. The batteries are in series, so the runtime wont be quite as good as parallel (I could be wrong about that, I haven't really figured out that aspect of battery life), but while I was in Vegas, I started vaping lightly in the morning, heavily in the afternoon and by the time I went back to my room to change for dinner, I still had a quarter to a third of life left. Thats at about 50-60 watts with either a .25 dual nichrome vulcan, or a .28 dual clapton build on a vector.

Sounds like excellent battery life. I plan on using nickel wire here and there and my builds are probably going to be like 0.8 to 0.15-0.2 at the highest( with nickel.) That stuff has a crazy low res.
I might have to check those new lg he3's out. I've heard that Samsung 25r's are good for sub ohming but I guess I'll have to go and do some more research. Good thing batteries are relatively cheap lol. 50 to 60 watts for almost a whole day sounds freaking amazing.

And bare in mind this was in various casinos, with boozy beverage in hand, or walking the strip. On a regular day, I chain vape it in my car with a tank at 40 watts, take a break here and there at work at 50-60, and chain vape again on the way home, and heavily vape late in the evening. I usually pop the batteries for a charge at around 8-9 oclock at night so they are fresh and ready for the morning.

I have the regular snow wolf, It does not lock in Temp control and does go to sleep if not used. I noticed I get much battery life out of my IPV4s, I use Samsung 25s, the most have the lg's and Imren purples, and a set of Efest purple, I would say the Samsungs are the best bet for regulated mods and only 5 bucks at IMR batteries. with free shipping over ten bucks. And I seen the Special Edition Snow wolf at Vapor DNA for 129.00 If you use the code deals 10 you can knock 10% off. I am not affiliated with either of these company's but have used them both and can say they are very good. Hope that helps.

Is there a real need to lock it? Other than it not turning off (sleeping) I'm debating if SE is really worth the extra cash.

I have the original SnowWolf, is it that much better to where I should sell mine and buy the V1.5 Edition? Do I really need resistance locking on this device?
I THINK the res locking is kind of situation thing. For example say i'm running a nickel build on my rda and I've been vaping it for a little bit, for whatever reason I take it off to maybe use some other atty for a bit, shortly after that put my rda back on, It's going to re-read the resistance automatically. So if the nickel build rda is warm from previous use it's res will read higher and now there is no way to change besides wait till both my att and my mod are the same temp and cool. Then take off the rda and put it back on for a more accurate re-read on the res....? I think that's what it's for but I could be wrong.

I don't think it's worth upgrading over that one features but the og snow wolf has a timer that will shut the mod off/or maybe put it to sleep after a certain amount of time. This could bother some people but unless that really bothers you bad than I guess upgrading to this special edition worth it but I'd say just stick with your og snow wolf unless it's really giving you problems.

Gotcha, The automatic Sleep Mode doesn't bother me.. The only thing that bothers me is once I turn it off, if you click any button just once it turns back on into standby mode(but since i keep it in a drawer it doesn't bother me much anymore).

I love the SW was just curious about Resistance locking.
