I'm really torn about this Windows 10 free upgrade...

Is it really all that bad, or are folks just paranoid?

It's not paranoia when they're really out to get you...
That points out some stuff that's pretty crazy. Randomly grabbing stuff of yours and moving it to the cloud; having access to and storing your content, your e-mail, whenever they feel like it; using your bandwidth to get their own work done... I think, for me, "no".

I'm thinking of not getting it now Maybe uninstall it all and go back to windows XP
I got windows 8 on my laptop which looks like the Android system to me, but Microsoft would never steal someone else's operating system
It made me use my Microsoft live account when I first turned the laptop on. But then I made a few different accounts on the computer and I don't give them accounts admin privileges.
So anytime any other program is trying to do something or change something on my laptop it has to ask for the admin password.
My opinion Windows 8 needs a touch screen to work right, just like the Android system they copied it from

I'm not tech savvy at all, learned most of what I know from participating on this forum and a knife forum. I'm still on Windows seven, I signed up for the upgrade and haven't got my notification yet. I read through that article a couple times though, and want to print it out to have handy if I do decide to get it. Funny that he suggested to NOT use Cortana...

I understand the Gov has to watch us to protect us
But companies like Microsoft, Verizon, Google, and Apple watching me and collecting my data (porn) so they can sale it to the highest marketing bidder is what I don't like
If some company wants to know what websites I go to and is willing to pay for it, then Cut out the middle man and pay me
Microsoft and them others have enough money why should what I do and like make more money for them and not for me

So they need to come out with a App that can not only track me but pay me when it does
They can use it in their marketing and we both can sit back watch e-cig reviews and porn while we both make money
