I'm not sure what you heard but I would look into it but let's say you are at 200 watts in temperature control mode no matter what it honestly probably won't really hit 200 watts but for a fraction of a second in order to eliminate the ramp up time of the coil then it levels out in order to keep it firing at the temperature set. Just like a dna 40 or any temperature control device. But in kanthal mod that is where it would really suck or be noticeable. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And the only way to change that is through EScribe? Damn I have to get a windows pc. All I got are macs. None of the profiles are preset for lower amps?

Not the amps my bad I think it's because of the volts but I am also new to using this mod but I did the same thing with the same tank and luckily I had it on 40 Watts instead of 75 and was like wow but yeah you have to get into EScribe and that's why they give you 8 profiles so that you could put in different things for each tank or already rda.
