Mayo Clinic and e-cig oil death?

Oil? In e-cig? Any one know more about this? Seems off to me. PG has been used for years as a deterent to bacteria in prenatal wards.

The liquid in e-cigs doesnt contain oil. Whoever made this claim is either an extremely novice vaper or an illicit drug user or both.

See, that's what I thought, a bogus claim. I was just wondering if it was true and could not find any info.

Yeah it's probably false. But I've seen people asking to use oil food flavorings to make eliquid before. It wouldn't surprise me if some uninformed user who makes his/her own juice doesn't eventually clog his lungs with some weird home brew made by oil based flavorings. I hope not though. We don't need that sort of publicity.
