Solution to those who don't want people to vape on board - everyone must wear a mouth filter

If people are truly concerned with what is exhaled on a plane, this would be the solution. Until that occurs, I observe the concern to be superficial and may as well just use a vape product that produces no visible vapor to appease those with the superficial level of concern.

That would be a nicotine inhaler made by BP, unless you know of something else.

"Dr. Joseph Austin Jr., a pulmonologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital"

"As a pulmonologist, he is understandably not a fan of e-cigarettes, which, he notes, deliver as much nicotine as a cigarette, produce a byproduct that may be harmful to innocent bystanders and contain propylene glycol, which can be fatal if ingested (although, he notes, it's not easy to get to).":rolleyes::rolleyes:

Had to laugh at this idiot :D

This just in! Water, when aspirated, can lead to drowning.

Same! I guess I should stop eating icecream :p

Have to love when people call it smoke too, I guess people don't understand the difference between combustion and evaporation.

"Vaping is just as illegal as any OTHER form of SMOKING is during flight."

That is false, as DOT has not banned vaping on airlines (but since 2011 DOT has been deceiving the news media to believe that the agency's proposed, but unlawful, vaping ban is a done deal just waiting to be signed). Check out how DOT deceived the LA Times reporter (similar to a dozen other news stories since 2011).

"The Department of Transportation thinks that the ban on smoking of any sort is covered by the regulations already on the books. But just in case rule-breakers ask where that's written, the DOT will, probably by year's end, add language to its federal registry that spells out that rule for e-cigarette smokers, just in case they don't know how to spell N-O."

You know if they had made those inhalers affordable before vaping took off they might have never had to see this alternative coming after their market. Problem is that if it was successful in getting folks to stop smoking they would yet have had to deal with their losses in smoker revenue.

Its been awhile since I have flown but when I did I vaped inconspicuously and generated no complaints. I can imagine it is a bit different these days. Part of vaping becoming more mainstream is those nanny types becoming more attuned to spotting a stealth activity so yeah more people to complain about something they either know nothing about or are operating under misinformed media information which still means they know nothing about it but now they think they do.

If this is what the world is coming to, please stop it.
I need to get off.
Sorry, once the ride is in motion, you ride until the end. Please by all means, though, smile while the cam on every corner, in everyone's hands (AKA 'smart phone) and in the light socket while doing #1 watches ..... wait, too much data.

Hey, enjoy the ride :)
They might start offering rewards for turning in vapers.
Well now, a new way to fly the friendly skies of and to the Virgin Islands :)

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform the supposed safety of ecigarettes out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care a way to stop smoking or decreasing the number of cigarettes smoked. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

In fascist, communist and socialist societies, it almost always starts at school asking children to report on their parents behavior, conversations, views, etc. Then neighbors and neighborhood watches, co-workers, relatives, etc. See: Dr. Zhivago (comrade kaprugina) or more recently, The Lives of Others depicting East Germany.
