They want testing and manufacturing standards. I don't see a problem with that...
how can you test a product that is made with ingredients that are
made to the highest standards already? food or pharmaceutical grade is
about as good as you can get.
here's a manufacturing standard.
measure the 4 or 5 ingredients your using precisely.
then mix.

Given how some vendors have proven they can not be trusted, there is no telling what some are putting in e-liquid...

Who is against product standards?
standards for e-liquid;
mix ingredients precisely. mix ingredients.
package and sell.to be done on clean surfaces
using clean equipment and clean packaging material.
and clean your hands for gods sake.
standards for hardware;
i battery, one tank, one coil and or wick assembly,
something to house them in. assemble product.
don't cut yourself.
well that takes care of that.
:2c:

mike

assuming they are in fact using GRAS food or pharmaceutical ingredients
which they should be by definition what are they putting into
the juice? what are these mythical substances supposedly being put there
and by whom?

How do we know what they are using? If they would lie about diacetyl what else are they lying about?

Steve, diacetyl is considered GRAS,for food consumption anyway.
this is totally beside the point as we do know what they put into it.
if it turns out some ingredients are not safe they will be removed
or labeled as such as is already done for any other product all
with out FDA regulations.
that's is what they did in the aroma therapy industry.

mike

I don't care all that much. Vaping isn't my life. What happens happens. Activists who look and act like Occupiers and use their gorilla tactics aren't going to change the mind of politicians, except maybe turn the politicians against them. When you have guys on here running around calling everyone ANTZ when they dare question aspects or vaping, how do they possibly think they can influence politicians and non vapers if they turn vapers against their 'movement?'
There's so little maturity and professionalism in the movement, it is no wonder the politicians against vaping are having their way. Look at the activist video which was posted a while ago. I really don't care what people look like, but image and how one presents themselves means a lot when trying to influence others. A guy who looks and talks like a cartoon character of a New Jersey fake Italian mobster and a guy who looks like a parolee. The video appeals to the choir and not the masses. Look at videos and pictures of vape events. The image the industry portrays will guarantee vaping never becomes mainstream and allow politicians to have their way when it comes to taxes and regulations...
You say vaping is not your life--so I ask why do you spend so much time on ECF and so much time critizing others on ECF?

I have been trying to figure that out for a while. Then this post appeared Diketones will destroy vaping before they destroys your lungs | Page 48 | E-Cigarette Forum

I think it's possible that Steve is positioning himself to make money after FDA regs are in place, or to make money off of panicking vapers.

I don't take advantage of people's addictions by convincing them potentially dangerous chemicals are nothing to worry about or by posting doom and gloom threads everyday to drive up panic and hoarding sales. I have no interest at all in testing e-liquid or making money off of vapers. I think the FDA will take care of this...

NICORETTE® QuickMist Mouthspray | NICORETTE®

The above is sold in England and has all the ingredients that an e-cig uses PLUS 10 more? It's been over a yr. since seeing the list of ingredients; so, of course, my short term memory thing. :(

I looked and cannot find the ingredients for the Nicorette inhaler which I think is sold here over the counter now. Does anyone have that info? :)

I don't live in Ohio, but I'm sending this to my friend who does, and sharing here for fellow vapers in Ohio - let these jerks know IT'S NOT SMOKING. IT'S NOT TOBACCO. BACK OFF!!

Brown and Seven Other Senators Press FDA to Take Action on E-Cigarettes | Press Releases | United States Senator Sherrod Brown

Funny how I dont see a single R behind any of those names.

I am assuming that these are some of the same idiots who voted for the Iran Nuclear Deal?

I really hope people start to wake up.....before its too late.
