Mesh is a wicking material, like cotton, silica, etc.
Mesh was used frequently in combination with Genesis style rebuildable atomizers.
Mesh is finely mazed stainless steel usually.
Like a sheet of paper but of stainless steel.
Since it has such a fine maze it wicks when rolled to a tube.
To apply you have to torch it first so it oxidizes and does not conduct better than the coil itself.

I have done a few mesh builds, but prefer the flavor I get from using organic cotton.
I prefer mesh over cotton, real cotton always gives me that wet T-shirt flavor.
For day to day vaping still prefer rayon. No side flavors and wicks great.
