Havnt upgraded in years.... 150w tc? Tfv4? Vs squonk

Ive been vaping since the days when I seen noone else vape .... Ive had every type and style of mod and tank/atty/rba/rda up untill I got my reo bottom feed mod years ago.
It pleased me so much I stopped coming here and fell out of the loop for years.

Im still happy with my reos and currently use a modded tobh on my reo with dual parralel coils or single clapton.... either setup I usually run in the .4 ohm range.

Its a good vape but my battery is week by the endo of the shift and bottle empty.

I would like a dual 18650 mod. I see guys at work with sub ohm tanks and 200w temp control mods and they really seem to blow clouds good. They all seem to love there sub ohm tanks and fancy 200w mods and im wondering if I need to upgrade.

Im thinking about getting a sigelei 150w tc mod.... and either a smok tfv4 or a Cthulhu v2.

Which one of these tanks is better?
I would like to run a single or dual clapton coil setup and want good flavor and airflow.

Is the single clapton deck good on the tfv4? Or should I go with a cthulhu v2?
Or is there other suggestions?



I just bought a cherry bomber mod last night with a mad hatter and a fishbone....then found out about the cherry bomber not being pocket safe which i tend to do and work in a weld shop so am regretting the buy and will keep it at home.


So whats all the fuss with these new super high wattage mods and for someone like me who just vaped his reo for the past 3 years..... will I be pleasantly surprised if I update into a high wattage mod and a sub tank?

Wow.... thats pretty cool, I had an idea years ago for something like this but couldnt figure out how to get the pos connection up past the juice well lol.

Anyway... Ive been squonking so long....Id kind of just like to be able to fill a tank up and go.

Just wondering whats the best out there right now that is rebuildable and could take a clapton or dual claptons?

Also.... im trying to understand temp control...so I would have to use a nichrome,stainless,or titanium wire?

Lmao.... last I knew people only used kanthal lol.
Is there any health worries or benefits of these other wires?

I'm using Reos mostly. Won a little 50 watt mod, bought a cheap subohm tank to see if I'd like it - and it's not bad. Flavor isn't quite there, and I've learned for certain that my preference is for "thicker" vapor rather than just more vapor. I actually dialed it back to about 20-25 watts (0.5 ohm coil) and closed the air a bit, to get more density. Haven't tried the 0.2 yet.

But I also learned that these stock subohm coils ARE better than the coils I stopped buying long ago - flavor is better, and wicking seems fine.

STILL, just so you know - there ARE a few squonkers you might want to look at - like Tom, from Catfish Atty Mods, who's about to roll out a heavy-hitting LIPO powered squonker, and also is well known for bottom-feed prepping all the latest badass atomizers.

So you might really enjoy a KF4 on 150 watts, but my bet is that a CAM mod (or a TMod from TMod Customs) with a Vector or a Stumpy would blow it away by almost any measurement.

That would be Ni200, not nichrome for TC

I dont know what im after.... just kind of bored of using the same mod for years and i use same coil for months (dry burn new cotton weekly) that by the time I build a new coil It takes me a few times to get the ohms I want. Kind of makes me wish I had vv/vw.

I definately want longer battery life but guess it wouldnt be hard to just carry extras to work.
All the rave reviews ive been reading on all these subohm tanks had me feeling like i was missing out lol. I would not buy premade coils...would want to build my own. I remember building coils in an old kayfun and it wasnt bad. Just leaked once in a while.
I just havnt been following things so didnt know if these newer tank designs improved at all.

If me bottom feeding an rda on my reo is as good as it gets then Ill just hold off I guess.

It would be fun to play around on a new mod/tank but if it wont blow me away then I guess there is no point on dumping $150 into it.

Still open to opinions

It's what you like. I'll be honest, I use a Reo too. I love squonking, whether it be a Reo or if i bought a vaporflask squonk or something.
I like higher watts, I used to have a hexohm v2.1 and tfv4 tank. High watts is enjoyable, but it's not something I crave to do.
Temp Control, was meh to me. You'd just need to try that yourself to see if it's for you honestly.

I keep buying mods to have higher watts, but I sell them and keep a Reo. Squonking is my preference, no matter if i try a high watt mod and tank or temp control, it's all preference. I'm sure with Black Friday deals coming up, you could probably get a sig 150 tc for a good deal and they could be something you could try. I haven't used it personally though.

I would just keep an extra battery handy and get some of those new larger bottles (from the Bottle Porn thread in the REO sub-forum) as soon as Rob starts stocking them, and save yourself a bunch of dough, but that's just me. I can't imagine a mod more well-suited to a shop environment than a REO.

Get the Cthulhu v2. Having two decks gives you more options. And the Sig 150W is a good choice.

There are also some VW squonkers out there these days. I can't name one off the top of my head, but there are several. The Sig 150TC seems to be well liked. I have the iPV4 and it's been solid. For a cheap, mid powered mod, there is the iStick 100W. I grabbed one recently and it's everything you would expect from a $30 mod. I'm not super happy with it, but I bought it because it was cheap, sooooo... The TFV4 seems to be well liked and there is a single clapton RBA deck for it. The Billow V2 is nice for a dual coil flavor maker. It makes decent clouds too. You can get a 200W mod if you like, but I don't vape over 80W and only have 1 build (a huge pair of claptons) that I run over 50W. TC gets a weak "meh" from me.

I use a sig150tc with the 2 quad tfv4 tanks in rotation at work and I don't see that changing soon. Batteries usually last me until I get home from work, using Samsung 25rs at 105 watts.

I ran into some reviews on the steam crave squonk mod and people didnt like the 10 min shutoff feature. Steamcrave released a new version that fixed all the issues people complained about. This is the second shipment of the new version I believe.

It has 50w tc and comes with a bottomfed aromizer rda. Kind of pricey for a name ive never heard of but I just bought one this morning for $130.
I thought it was made in america but got a pp reciept in chinese so im kind of bummed about that....will probably take forever to get here.
Hope its decent.
