I got a really big one..bone-in...then i'll whip up some ham n scalloped potatoes...then I'll use the bone and whatever bits of ham are left to make a pot of ham n bean soup...great warm-ya-up and make ya feel good during Mi. winters:)
yummmm cept for the scalloped taters. I can eat em, but not my favorite. Now maybe if they were "loaded" scalloped taters, and ya chunked em instead of slicin em lol

i bought steak for Thanksgiving because i might as well have something i like rather than food i am sick and tired of eating after one meal, e.g. turkey.
Steak sounds good too. I really don't eat turkey of any kind any other time, so I'm ready for it this one time of year.

79 cents. what's not to like?
Sent a few plates home for 2 who couldn't come, and with one who did come, wish I could have sent one to you!!

turkeys are nervous when I go shopping...3 bird minimum at this house 1 traditional 1 smoker 1 deep fryer

gobble gobble
ohhhhhhhhh smoked turkey. Sooooooo yummy. Only had deep fried twice, and it was way back when that first became a thing, didn't really care for em. I've been told it's cuz they weren't done right which is highly likely. They just didn't have much flavor other than "turkey" and turkey definitely needs to be seasoned up well. For me that means stuffin the insides with onions, garlic, celery, orange, and cilantro.

How wonderful it is to revel in the sacrifice of 'our troops'. But that has nothing to do with Thanksgiving.
I don't disagree with the history part, but having sent my son overseas, I can tell you that every holiday has something to do with the sacrifice our troops make when they aren't home to share it with their families, and the families are spending a good portion of the holidays hoping their soldiers are ok.

happy black friday :)
Mine isn't black..... but it is somewhat overcast.

You shoppin online today???

No. Cal.
Keeping with our socialist tendencies, the local news is promoting international "buy Nothing Day" today (apparently started by a local artist, which is odd as every local artist I know wants to sell me something).
I like the "buy local" idea. (For full disclosure, we own a small shop in a small town. ). Gonna be busy!

Having seen the ridiculous scenes of fighting and general idiocy at recent Black Friday sales, i'm not budging from my chair today!

Even HRH, who loves to shop, wants no part of that madness. There were people locally camped outside Best Buy for the last week. Lunatics all of them!

My son is in the military. He missed another Thanksgiving with us. It isn't the same without him. I am thankful for those who stand in the gap, for the defense of our wonderful country. I will be so glad when he can enjoy a Thanksgiving with his family again!!!

i think i misunderstood RHP's intent with the troops post until i read Deb's and my response was rude and foolish. I have apologised for being so crass and insensitive and pointed out that one of the things i admire immensely about Americans is their support for the armed forces.

In contrast, there was recently a case in England where a member of the Army who was attending a hospital appointment was asked to move in case his uniform offended some people in the waiting room. Disgraceful.

i hope everyone is at least able to have some contact with their families over the holidays and as someone with relatives 5000 miles away, i do know how hard that absence can be.

Incidentally, i spoke too soon about HRH - she went shopping anyway! I'd put money on her to win a fight for a flat-screen TV. Madness.

And this is a bad thing?! This has been our only entertainment system for nearly 5 years !! It also serves as our cd player, stereo, TV, radio, and lastly a workstation)

that is despicable!! I had a feeling you misunderstood. Hope it didn't seem I was jumpin on ya, just pointing out. No harm, no foul and no apologies needed.

I'll have to be careful how i answer this else i'll be doing more apologising! i apply a rule to my internet use such that if i open my big mouth in a public forum and i'm wrong or out of order - then i shall say so publicly too.

It's actually a wonder i issue so few public retractions.

RHP has been a friend of mine for years and he deserved better.

In other news, HRH has returned and she bought corned beef; i sometimes wonder if she really came from Russia or some really deprived place.

Supertrunker thank you for your words, you made me smile. I am a vet, and as I said, my son is in the military. Even though the one serving pays the most, the family suffers their absence. The holidays aren't the same without our loved ones home. My son did call me yesterday. I was very happy to hear from him. I know he missed being with his family. It was good just to hear his voice!

Gotchya, totally respect that!

You don't like corned beef? lol

so glad you got to talk to him!!! And hope he was in a spot where they had a wonderful feast! If they're on a fairly populated base they usually eat like Kings on Thanksgiving.

Hiya folks! Not sure if I'm in the right place or not, but I'd thought I give it a go.

I recently ordered a terminator squonk kit for fasttech, because I wanted to give the squonking a go. The rda that came with it is not my cup of tea. The mouthpiece is way to big and the overall design is something I don't like. I put my velocity on it with the BF pin that came with it, and I haven't put down the squonker since. I just love not having to drip, squeeze the bottle and vape.

With this in mind, I have been researching other squonk boxes. Something more durable, something which can handle low ohm builds (I vape between 0.2 and 0.3, dual coil). The plastic terminator can get hot with chain vaping. I came across the BF mods from Vaughan, the new-zealand guy. Nice wooden squonkers, but they cost me too much money... For now.

I also had a reo in mind, and since the reo has a better price range, for me, it's something I'm willing to consider. But I need some help. Please tell me.. Why should get a reo mod? Can it handle my builds? Are there any others things to take in consideration? Should I order replacement parts with the initial order too? (I live in Europe, shipping costs were around 20bucks alone)

Thank you in advance!
