Lol it's so big. The 46 Alliance has so many post configurations though it looks awesome. And gigantic. I just don't like the mutation style airflow personally.
I agree. I'm using the smallest airflow cap that it came with. I really dig the fact they were thinking about the consumer when they package this rda

Yeah, Fogwind's/Vapergate is really good with listening to consumers wants. I got eff'd on the Black Friday SX Mini for $99, was out of stock in EVERY color by the time I was going to order it. You know anywhere that has either that or the Reuleaux in stock/on sale?

Failed hard today. Wifey is out and about so I thought I'd try new coils. First attempted a fused framed staple. Couldn't get the frames to lay right, so went for a fused staple instead. 8X.5 ribbon with 36 N80 fused. Failed. Got everything wrapped but didn't make it wide enough to fit right in a vice to wrap the coil.

Second coil attempt, straight forward alien. Total failure. Couldn't get the cores to sit flat, wire kept doubling up...just a mess. So I'm here to drool at all of your superiority before I go vent my frustration at the gym.

Got some more wire coming in soon. Going to back off a bit and try a staggered fused with 34 gauge outer wire. I think I know where I went wrong with the stapled coil, and I'm going to try again with more cores, maybe 10-12 to get a nice flat surface wrap.

Do 3 or 4 wraps, take your needle nose or crimper and crimp core wires flat. Then to 3 or four more wraps and repeat. It's a slow process but you will get results. Also, you may try the fishing swivel method.

I quit doing exotic builds after awhile... eventually when I'm feeling froggish I'll jump back into them, but the furthest I ever got was a fused Clapton using 2x 22AWG core with a 36AWG over. Now, I just do regular claptons. Because the fused claptons require a lot of power to fire, heat up slowly and cool off slowly. So I just went back to my roots and started making my N80 coils super large. 9/64 drill bit @ 10-12 wraps to cover the air slots on my Velocity.

The last build that was in my K24 before I had to send it in to get it fixed. I miss her already.

    6 strand double stacked (3 on 3) 30g wrapped up in 40g para to 24g N80.
In other news. Reuleaux has been ordered for $135 total with 20% off and with 3 18650's included (MXJO's I'm assuming). So that still leaves me with a good budget to get my whiteout whenever they decide to come out lol. Could be next month could be February.

Had some plain old alien with some jenky wraps 26gx3/36g alien left over from today. Took the cue from @Tom Forde for installing a single coil in my velocity. Haven't touched this atty in a few months, tried cleaning it but as you can see, unsuccessfully.

Bad pic, but the jist is given.

Finally lol I don't think I've ever seen a between the posts build in a velocity, ever. +1points to you. How's she hit like that? I'd assume the indirect airflow holes are where you'd get the majority of your airflow from depending on wicking blocking the direct airflow slots.

I don't open the direct airflow I use it with just the indirect airflow holes, tight draw but crazy flavor. Hopefully I can get some wire today. Good looks Tom
