Good mornin'
Food coma has been slept off.

I dread stepping on the scale when we get back home. One more day of gluttony to get through. At least today there's not a lot of what I like to eat.

SOOO sweet the Eagles lost to the worst team in the league. Detroit's been struggling for years. My 'Boys lost :(
Such is the Game. It's only a Game. ;)

Well I have recovered from the big dinner. My brother smoked the turkey. It was probably the best turkey he has ever smoked. Smoked turkey is delicious to me. It's right up there with a good brisket. There was only one person I knew who made the best brisket ever. When I was in the USN, I'd come home and ask him to make it. I'm not even going to mention the desert either. LOL. I saved room for some. Then I was extremely sleepy. I didn't get the nap. But since it is rain today, I think I will make up for it this afternoon.

Well I feel much better. I had a nice old lady nap. I was having a pleasant dream, until I heard a lot of banging from my favorite (NOT) neighbor next door. I forgot to mention I got to speak with my son yesterday afternoon. He called me to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving. I know he was a little homesick. I felt his absence. I will be so glad when he is finally home for good. The holidays aren't the same when family aren't among you. Still, it was so good just to hear the sound of his voice, and know he was safe, and doing alright.

OK, I admit I am having a BK moment...

If Wednesday was the Nation's biggest Travel Day, Thursday was Our Day of Gluttony, and Today marks the Official Beginning of Commercialism Month....
Then are we really giving Thanks ?
Well, sad to say, it is on my mind. Just got word yesterday that a cousin I'm very close to, has only 4-6 weeks left. She went in to hospital suffering pneumonia, and they found cancer cells expelling from her lungs - never smoked either. Certainly put things in perspective that family and friends and their and your health are the most important thing in the world and to be very very thankful for that.

Sue, so sorry to hear about your cousin, having just gone through it with Mama Chak, I know exactly how you feel. It's so very unexpected at that age and being a non smokers as well. My prayers are with you and your family.
