ΝΑΝΟ subox starter kit
The tiniest of the series by Kangertech.
The nano subox is a VW mod (7-50W) that accepts coils >0.3ohm. No TC.
Dim: 82mmX37.5mmX21.5mm but the depth under the atty is only 18.5mm to fit the subtank nano (3ml, 18.5X47mm).
Comes in very cheerful colors, pink and purple, plus the classic black.
The package includes
the mod, the atty, the micro usb cable, a spare pyrex tank and 2 coils heads: 0.5ohm (15-60W) and 1.5 ohm (10-26W). The first is for lung inhale, the second for mouth to lung inhale.
Also included are a detailed manual, authenticity card, instructions for the head usage and pink stickers
Kangertech also introduced recently the topbox, which is the nano subox with 60W and works with coils >0.1ohm
Nano subox has the classic features of:
Short circuit protection
Atomizer open circuit
PCB over temperature protection
Cell capacity protection
10 seconds cuttoff
There is a bright OLED screen, that switches directions for right and lefthanded. (+&-)
The mod locks with 5 clicks.
The watts are adjustable in 0.1W steps. When the +,- buttons are pressed continuously, after a few seconds the watts increase or dicrease in 1W steps.
The 510 pole is spring loaded, an improvement to the first mini subox and works perfect with other atties.
The Subox works with a 18650 battery (not included) and the battery cap is magnetic and very easy to remove.
The micro USB cable allows the vaper to charge and vape (passthrough)
**Ok, now what? Should I buy it?**
The subtank's airflow is improved according to Kangertech. I had no other subtanks to compare, but it's not bad for lung inhale (single big hole, double big hole, slot) The single small hole tries to simulate mouth to lung inhale, but it's not the same as vaping with a KL+ for example.
On the other hand, neither its lung inhales can compare to those of an atlantis. It's somewhere between.
Of course, for lung inhale and cloud chasing, 0.5ohm heads are better, for mouth to lung there are the 1.2 and 1.5 omhs. There are also Ni200 0.15ohm heads, in order to vape the subtank nano with other mods.
RBA head isn't available from KG, but from a third party. The mini subtank RBA is too wide.
The package's coils last quit long. But pay attention not to let the atty drain. The liquid holes are at the head's sides and must be wet anytime. The atty performs well, without leakage, except some tears at the air hole.
**The mod:**
Very simple and easy to use, only VW but works smoothly, even at 40W. The battery management is very good. The magnetic port works perfect, the usb charger is convenient. No problems, no power loss while inhaling.
**But...**
it's not a usual mod & atty, but a set. Strange colors and the mod's unique shape scream: Don't fit us with other mods/atties. Fit a 22mm RTA on the 18.5mm subox. Not the best result. Or fit the pink atty to other boxes except black or silver ones. Ugly!
It tries to be a cute ecig, but the size is just not right. Cute ecigs are smaller. KG chose to make the nano subtank slimmer instead of shorter. Mistake! Now there is a whole accessory market for subtank mini but no accessories for the nano. Not even an RBA head, except a noname one. Only a couple of silicone sleeves are available. No tanks, no bellcaps, no bases or top caps, no stickers.
The paint seems a little fragile. I already have a small scratch at the atty.
It's taste is good but not like an RBA's, although the throat hit and the clouds are comparable and even better comparing to a lot of RBAs
But anyway, its special colors is a plus. As for the TC, this is both good and bad. No TC feature, but very simple to use, especially for a new vaper. Well, even provape sells radius without TC :wink:
Everything assembles easily and the atty can be filled both ways: from bottom and from the top.
