Holidays in Panama

Hi!

I used to be a heavy smoker but switched to e-cigarettes about two years ago. During summer, I am planning to travel to panama for holidays. Going to stay there for four weeks. Thus, I am wondering about regulations on e-cigarettes in panama. Just read, that e-cigarettes are generally banned in public as tabaco smoke is banned as well. Also read that import of e-cigaretted is prohibited.

No vaping in public is fine with me, as long as I can carry my e-cigarette with me and vape in non-public areas e.g. hotel room.

Does anyone made some experiences on vaping and traveling in and to panama as a tourist? Am I allowed to travel to Panama by aeroplane with my e-cigarette or would this be already called "import", altough I am not going to sale the e-cigarette and won't allow anyone else to use it?

From what I can see, you should be able to bring it in country as there aren't any laws prohibiting the import of such devices. The ban is for in country sales and public use.

What @retired1 said.....^^^^...I was at Panama a few months ago, no problem with vaping.
