Morning!! K1-just looking for CHEAP and warm. Beach would be nice, but a pool is good, too. I don't gamble, but maybe Vegas is the cheapest choice? I WOULD go see a show, though.

One of the few things I miss about California is being able to hop in the car and be in Vegas in 3.5 hours.
Decide on a Saturday afternoon, take off, get there, play all night, eat at a breakfast buffet and take turns driving home.

Ugh ! Those roaches/palmetto bugs !
I found out they fly AT you when I found one in the house, sprayed it with raid and the dang thing came straight at me !


Well let me tell you...

Yes, I was "watching" the game, and speaking of pools....... I watched the end of each quarter!

Hilarious, but scary! I remember the Hawaiiana roaches. I stayed with a friend there who used to enjoy CATCHING them! (why? I have NO klue). She said the only bad part was that they ..... ummmm.... they went potty in her hand!!!!!!

agreed...but I'll be fine. I'm going to be reading and grazing by the pool during the day, and I'll go see a good show in the evening. Already told my friend I won't be spending time in the casinos gambling. It's probably because I worked as a Keno runner in Lake Tahoe and Reno during my young, wild and crazy days. Got that out of my system a LONG time ago!

Yeah 5er, they have paved roads now too

I worked there in '76 and hadn't in over been back in over 30 years. Most of he Casinos have been torn down and rebuilt. It is better than ever IMO

I agree, Wharf (after MUCH laughter from NUMEROUS posters!). Vegas has EVERYTHING. None of it, however, is real.

It's like the Holodeck on Star Trek. The one that Data* used to like.

That's what I'm looking for. Unreal. My REAL life is too hard and stressful. Cheap getaway with a good friend, sun, swimming pool, lounge chair, and good books....here I come!!
