It would be a dream come true for me to be banned from a casino, because that would most likely mean that I had won something. It would be a first.
People tend to assume that I'm stupid, as evidenced by a small number of recent comments. Most of the time they're right. As far as I know, you can't use any
device other than your own brain to count cards. Even if you're brilliant at math, it's hard to do better than SLIGHTLY DECREASING the odds AGAINST you. I am not brilliant at math, I'm just very good, not nearly good enough to win at a blackjack table except by dumb luck. On the very few occasions that I've been up a few bucks, it's been a slam dunk that I'll keep going until I lose. I definitely lack the self control to quit while I'm ahead. Being very good at math has exposed me to a small number of people whose math abilities blow mine away, but these people are generally smart enough not to try to beat the negative odds at a casino.
The vitriol against me for talking about the subject amazes me. Whatever the real reason for that hatred, I know it's not me. I just am viewed as a convenient target by some. Ho hum. Story of my life.
Some people would be insulted, but personally, I have always enjoyed the fact that I'm not quite as dumb as I look.
For the one or two who have launched their personal unrelated anger against me for talking about math and blackjack, I hope that whatever is ailing you subsides ASAP.
