I was so worried this morning...I watched for about 10 minutes and just saw an egg...no parent !

I actually saw #2 arrive Sunday night

Third egg as I watched last night at 6:59

Eggs may begin hatching between March 25 and March 29 based on a 35 to 39 day incubation period.

they've got a camera on the Decorah North nest. I'm not sure if either of the north eagles are the offspring of the original decorah nest.

The camera close-up was amazing, along with the resolution.

HERE in Washington, the resolution is incredibly clear!

Sadly, one egg is not hatching.
From the dates of lays to hatches it seems it is the first one laid.
The aren't sure whether not fertile or left exposed for too long.
This is a first for this couple...

Once the eaglets fledged Raptor Resource went in and was able to retrieve that unhatched egg !
They tested it and it wasn't fertile.


Mom and Dad are nestorating for a new season...I'll make a 2017 thread a little later on.
