MBV 555

So, I was told today that Mt. Baker will not be selling 555. A month ago they had a renaming post on their blog (trademark issues perhaps).

Anyway, apparently it's gone. Can anyone recommend a similar flavor? Thanks.

Also, realize that I am not asking for the most realistic 555 tobacco/cigarette flavor, but one that most resembles MBVs interpretation, for better or worse.

I saw it was gone for a while but when they had their Thanksgiving sale it was back. My favorite MBV flavor.
I just started diy but if I successfully clone it I will let you know.

Thanks. They have definitely been whittling down their flavors, but I always thought 555 was one of the top ones. I came across it as a result of the large number of recs.

I've heard MBV used Flavor West concentrates.

Well, smacuser, I used your link and ordered up 10ml of FW 555 and some base and voila, MBV 555, or a pretty reasonable facsimile thereof. Thank you!

I see a lot of folks adding these flavors to enhance their 555:
Acetyl Pyrazine 5%
Smooth (TPA)
RY4 Double (TPA)
Caramel (Original) (TPA)
Butterscotch (TPA)
RY4 (TPA)
Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA)
French Vanilla (TPA)
Bavarian Cream (TPA)

I am enjoying Hangsen No. 5, another 555 type tobacco flavoring preferred by the DIY crowd here.

It's a flavor enhancer basically. Adds kind of a bread type flavor.

You'll want to use one drop of AP per 10ml to start.

A lot folks find a toasty nuttiness to it, though, too much will taste like corn chips.

Some use it in their cereal, cookies and cake flavors.

I use it in my Castle Long clone.
