For those of you that are already fans of the Merlin rta from Augvape, meet the Merlin Mini rta
Going to try to do a quick review from soup to nuts here… so here goes
Initial impression with the packaging, is that it was well done - comes in a black cardboard tube snugly secured in foam, with the rta up top (along with the appropriate allen wrench for the deck) and extra glass and spare parts safely underneath
The Mini is definitely petite - very compact - was pleasantly surprised at the amount of room on the two post velocity style build deck though. Machining looks good, threading all good - very streamlined design… juice flow on the deck looks to be fairly well designed, also - no obvious wicking constriction points
Initial install was a pair of 3mm SS316 fused claptons - 6 wraps (28gx2 with 34g wrap - ohm reading about .28)
When tucking the wick tails, I did push them back a tiny bit from the feed holes on the perimeter of the deck, as with 3mm coils, there is plenty of wicking in the deck well
Had a little bit of leakage first go-round, pushed tails back up more snugly against feed holes and have had zero issues since
Easy to build on, easy to wick, easy to fill (make sure you turn the barrel to close 'shield' over juice flow holes before filling… yeah…)
Excellent flavor, very nice vape
Great job, Augvape - thanks for sending me this rascal to review, very well made and really nice, especially for a stealth setup
