That is about 16amps being requested of a battery rated and tested to be only 18amps though many say it is a 20amp CDR battery, almost max amp load yes the battery will drain low in less than an hour. Kanger on their website suggest a 30amp CDR battery as max watts on a 20amp battery is about 60watts, 30amp battery max watts is about 90, and only 3 in that rating all 1500mah, the LG HB2, HB4, and HB6. For a little more oomph and still a decent Mah the Sony VTC5A 2500mah 25amp battery would me more suitable for your application, maxing about at about 73 to 75watts. Your running into the principle of an engine in a car, drive the speed limit your gas mileage will be fairly good, drive slightly above the speed limit your gas mileage suffers a bit, if you get close to max speed of the car or max rpm of the engine (the battery in this instance) then your gas mileage literally plummets to crap.
