BUT! Plans changed. I already had a working VV device, my provari. This lavatube would be just a backup. And I didn't like the protruding 510 connector nor did I want to go through the trouble to shave it. So I decided this would be a box mod. Here's the guts of a lavatube:
Once the top...
I was so stoked when I got my lavatube unfortunately a DCT carto didn't want to play nicely with the 510 connector. Being a noob I didn't think much of the wiggly tank, but over time it started to eat away at the threads on my lavatube. After 2 weeks only a select few cartos and atomizers...
I owned both. Comparing technical features the VAMO comes out ahead. But quality of craftsmanship the Provari wins hands down. Both are great mods, but the Provari's craftsmanship, reliability, and domestic product support is hard to justify the technical bells and whisltes of the VAMO.
Not...
From my experience I've used cartos, CE Clearomizers, DCT, and Protank. When I first started vaping used Smok LR cartos and that was fine except having to drip every few hrs. I wanted a tank I could fill and use for at least a day. Clearomizers didn't work well with my EGO, so I stopped buying...
After reading all this... I'll glad I'm not the only one buying various MODs, tanks, cartos, and atomizers. I've had bad luck with my lavatube and 2 Egos. So I said screw it and got a Provari. Once I got the mod part straightened out I wanted to try different types of juice delivery. First...
I found the vaporjoes article to be an interesting read regarding this. http://.........blogspot.com/2013/06/the-dirty-little-not-so-secret.html
Other companies have always fought Chinese companies due to copyright infringement, shady business practices, and have always lost. The Chinese govt...
After realizing it's been almost a decade of smoking, and 1/3 of my life doing it. I thought it was time for a lifestyle change. College it was acceptable and lots of people I knew smoked. Now in my professional life, I have to dip out and hide from people who might judge me. Considering...
More than I should have...
1 - Ego starter kit * broken
1 - lavatube *broken
1 - Ego DOA from China :(
Then I said screw it. Only US made stuff.
1 - Provari
1 - Zemesis 2
Accessories....
Protank, DCT, IBtanked carto tank, 20+ cartos, 4 batteries, 160ml of juice, 510 attys, drip tips...
In this market its nearly impossible to prevent Chinese manufactures from cloning products. I myself ordered a Youde IGO-W. A little more expensive, but Youde seem to has a pretty good track record. Who knows what factory the chimbus comes out of, but for $6 it's a deal nonetheless.
Unless you're fine with the idea of wrapping down the line, get a customized one. Yeah it's expensive. But once you have it for awhile, you'll probably want to customize it and regret not choosing a colored tube/LED.
I've owned a kgo, ego, lavatube, and vamo. Sold the Vamo and the other 3 broke for various reasons. The provari keeps on chuggin. Splurge on customizing our Provari, it's really not that much more and you'll want to be different once you own one.
Lots good info in this post. My current goto is a carto-tank, but I'd like to see what RDAs have to offer. I found all my answers in this thread. Thanks.
This morning I came up with the idea of using a NES controller with my lavatube internals. After doing some searching I found 2 people who've already accomplished turning a NES controller into a PV. If only I would have thought of this 2 months ago. Lol. Well done sir! Thanks for the pics of...
Nice mod. My lavatube 510 battery connector is done. So I was just going to replace it, but his thread is giving me some inspiration. Lavatube guts in a copper pipe? hmmm.
This happened to my lavatube. I was using a DCT tank and it was a bit crooked and wobbly at times I didn't think anything of it as it was mostly threaded onto the lavatube. After 2 weeks of using the DCT it got more wobbly. I attempted switched to my smoktech cartos and they wouldn't thread...
