This is incredibly irresponsible. You don't know this persons soldering skills and being that it is their first DIY mod it really isn't something they should be trying. A good Keystone holder with good contacts and the proper gauge wire will work at over 50w easily.

Could be switch or cold solder joint. I had the same problem and mine was switch. Replaced switch and all was good to go.

No, with the DNA30 the board doesn't allow much current to flow to the switch. Very much like a mosfet.

You're okay. The SX350 or the DNA30 don't pass the current through the switch. Maybe 50-100mA at the most.

A little loctite will solve that problem.

You may have problems using these for wattage adjustment buttons as they are quite large. Would probably work fine as a fire button.

Link for the battery holder seems to be working for me. As for the switch, according to the spec sheet... 7.4mm x 7.4mm Hole cutout is 5.2mm

Take the flaps and fold them under, that's what I do. I don't think your battery dealer is helping you very well. Running batteries in series carries many more risks than running them in parallel. Also, there are pre-wired parallel 18650 battery holders available. Some have protection built in...
