FDA looking to ban menthol cigarettes.

Easy, it's all about money. Under the TMSA, states get payments each year from Big Tobacco based on the number of cigarettes sold. Vaping has put a large dent into these payments.

Another vape that shot its load on me...

Replaceable batteries are definitely the way to go. There are plenty of pod mods with a single 18650 battery. You'll get better battery life, won't have to deal with an internal battery or the internal charging system failing, and they are only a tiny bit larger than the ones with 1500-2000 mAh...

Higher wattages (50+ watts) useless on Voopoo Drag X Plus?

I've been using only twin-18650 mods for some time, and before the shipping ban came into effect, I bought a backup of my most-used mod (a Geekvape Aegis X), but since the 100W single 21700 / 18650 Voopoo Drag X Plus was only $35, I also picked up one of them as another backup. I vape...

Innokin Giveaway! Coolfire Z50 & Ares 2 Kits up for grabs!

Definitely my Geekvape Aegis X (my detailed review), topped with any of a fairly wide variety of RDA's. Lately my pair of Unicorn RDA's (one 24mm, one 25mm) have been seeing a lot of use, but my overall favorite has to be my 25mm Goon. A simple twisted 26 gauge (Kanthal or N80) dual coil is my...

    wattage too low?

Yes, spitting can be caused by setting the wattage too low for a particular coil. Generally, in a set of coils for a particular tank or device, a lower resistance means higher wattage is recommended. Although this isn't always the case (especially if there are multiple types of coils or coil...

    My mind & coil builds

The attachments don't work. Anna is right. On most of the premade coils, the resistance printed on the packaging is for a dual coil build. So you will see twice that on a single coil build.

FDA to ban all e-cig flavors except menthol and tobacco, report says.

A few short quotes from the articles that caught my attention: "The new restrictions on flavors will not extend to THC-vaping products, which are mainly regulated by states that have legalized marijuana." “Flavors attract kids, and menthol is a flavor,” said Erika Sward, a spokeswoman for the...

FDA to ban all e-cig flavors except menthol and tobacco, report says.

Still ridiculous. Additional sources: New York Times: "F.D.A. Plans to Ban Most E-Cigarette Flavors but Menthol" Washington Post: "Trump administration to ban most flavored e-cigarette pods" Wall Street Journal: "FDA to Ban All E-Cigarette Pod Flavors Except Tobacco and Menthol" Politico...

    Geekvape Aegis X detailed review

One minor addition, discovered after posting my review. Geekvape touts the extremely quick response time of the chipset used in the Aegis X. I can confirm that there is absolutely no discernible firing delay, which is a good thing. But there is a slight downside — when using three clicks on the...

    Need some suggestions please.

Perhaps the Wotofo Recurve or the Blitz Hermetic.

Hi new guy here, got a bunch of questions.

Yup, pre-cutting the leads is also an option. Once you do it a couple of times you'll learn exactly how much wire you need to have.

Hi new guy here, got a bunch of questions.

Instead of using wire clippers, you can just wiggle the excess wire back and forth. It will break off right at the edge of the post.

Looking for New Small Mod Internal Batt

You could always get a small single 21700 or 18650 mod, and charge the battery in the mod. Then you don't have to worry about an internal battery degrading and not being able to easily replace it.

    Geekvape Aegis X detailed review

I have been using a Joyetech eVic Primo 2.0 and Cuboid (the original version, released as a 150W mod but firmware updatable to 200W) for quite some time. Both were running the ArcticFox firmware, with the eVic Primo 2.0 being my primary, and the Cuboid as a backup / "beater" mod. The "minus /...

Need a budget friendly *Series* Dual 18650 Mod

Why the need for a series mod? On a regulated mod, it doesn't really matter, especially if you are just vaping at 5 watts on 2 ohm coils.

"The Complex Realm of Vaping" (U.S. News & World Report)

It's nice to see a positive article on vaping. This one talks about vaping "subgenres" like coil building and DIY juice mixing. And while it gets some minor details wrong, such as saying "sub-ohm" refers to wattage, it's still a pretty good read...

Replacement for Koh Gen Do cotton (60mm x 80mm pads)

The regular size pads (50x60mm) are just $1.99 per 180 at the Muji USA online store right now. I picked up two packs of them, along with a 135-pack of the large 70x90mm pads ($6). Total with tax and $5.95 shipping was just $17. They even have a physical store in northern New Jersey, about 30...

Replacement for Koh Gen Do cotton (60mm x 80mm pads)

I've been using Koh Gen Do cotton pads for some time, and was getting a bag of 80 pads for $9-$12 on Amazon, last purchased over a year ago. I'm starting to get low, so I went to get some more, but now, a box of only 60 pads costs $19. What I love best about the Koh Gen Do cotton is that they...

    Eternal RDA by Goforvape

I'm definitely not a fan of vertical builds (you lose half of the wicking capacity with only one tail per coil feeding juice from the well). But it that's your thing, it looks like it's a pretty well-made RDA for the price. The o-rings don't look very good at all, but that's par for the course...

    Feeling lazy and buzzed

Most pod systems only output like 7 watts, and they are designed to simulate smoking cigarettes – the nicotine level and fast absorption of that nicotine does just that.
