I've been using Efest flat tops 2000mah. My current (2nd Efest I've tried) is at 52% Batt and still at 85% IQ and the Efest's I'm using are not brand new ones. No lube just cleaned with contact cleaner

Hmm, why do you think the Smoktech Rocket is a mech? I has a variable wattage and voltage switch, 5 settings for each up to 15 watts and or 6 volts, short protection. It does not however have a menu screen on it. 510/Ego connections. Takes only 18650 batteries. Not sure tho if it has reverse...

I have not tried this one yet or read many reviews, but If I was still working, (retired), in my construction trade I would try this one out. Pretty basic VV/VW. No menu, no screen to muck up, preset dial settings and uses a 18650 battery. I would look for some more reviews. Rocket Mod, Stainless

What does the boost do? set max wattage for the time set?

Is this Boost error that everyone is talking about a heat/temp error or high wattage? I see people posting what ohms and wattage they are using but what type of coils are being used? Could it be cause by material used for the coils causing more heat?

Better yet, No one should be buying or using sub ohm coils and or mechanical devices with no protection, without first learning the basics including ohms law. That ill responsible on the sellers part IMO. Its important to know what your devices can handle and what type (size) batteries to use.
