What would you say is the most reliable single 21700 mod?

A screw cap tube mech is most reliable I have found. Was my first mod (first was actually 18650, but have others that run 2700), and to this day still the most reliable.

    Noisy Cricket

QUOTE=Ed Brown "... beyond the capability of that insulation to prevent a short. None of the responses here mentioned any such issue." If there is ANY question about the insulator in deck and/or 510-pin, including 510 center-pin protrusion height, would NOT use on un-regulated mod. Also...

    Noisy Cricket

Lost me with "insulation in an rda" ?? Appears you are talking about the OG Noisy Cricket. This mod is a series only mod, meaning you will need to build for series use ONLY (both battery configuration and atty builds). I remember when they were like $9/each. Optionally, there was/is the Noisy...

    Voopoo Drag "changing" ohms

Vapor1960 & uthinkofsomething appear to have covered fairly well. In my mind this is a regular maintenance procedure (do b4 u have an issue). Sounds like has not been done previously, so possible culprit. Important consideration ... Have you already tried a different mod with the atomizer and...

    Voopoo Drag "changing" ohms

First guess (based on having a couple Drag's) the center pin in the mod may not be moving up/down freely because of debris (dried juice, etc.), and needs a through cleaning so it can compress and fully return freely.

    Mod tank compatibility question

You do realize "stainless" and "nickel" are the coil metal and not related to the tank construction ?

Looking for New Small Mod Internal Batt

Assuming your Drag is the Mini (internal battery), how long have you been running and how is the battery degradation over time (long-term health)? I have been running a couple of the Drag-2's with 18650's, but admire the slightly smaller form factor of the mini. Was worries about the lower...

My Wismec Noisy Cricket II in serial mode fires more volts in the lower settings.

    I own 2nd Gen version NC-II/25. Potentiometer wheel numerics are reversed from 1st Gen version (per OP comments). 1st Gen Version 0 - 100 numerics = 2v - 6v output. Adjusts potentiometer output. Higher number = Hotter vape. VS 2nd Gen Version 0 - 100 numerics = 6v - 2v. Adjusts potentiometer...

    Question Regarding Mech Circuits

I am merely a semi-informed user commenting into a forum in attempt to help others that are wondering enough to read and hopefully think about the why's and how's. I would agree with you thoughts that many choose to insert batteries (+) end twoards the 510. It works yes, but depending on...

    Question Regarding Mech Circuits

AttyPops, My earlier comment "I would suggest that You Pay Attention to your equipment, selection, and maintenance and that you move away from a "what-ever" line approach." Think about what you just wrote related to how a battery is designed to vent and where a mod vent holes are located...

    Question Regarding Mech Circuits

I would suggest that You Pay Attention to your equipment, selection, and maintenance and that you move away from a "what-ever" line approach. Choosing a device built to fail safely seems to me to be somewhat controverted option to learning how to select and use components properly to begin...

    The point

I learned to vape and build on a mech initially. Sporadically 'transitioned' to regulated devices and various wire compositions and builds primarily always focused on flavor with secondary on vapor production. It would be foolish to argue a regulated device can produce vapor better than a mech...

    Question Regarding Mech Circuits

I disagree with your inclusive use of terminology and presumption. The "bullet" I read to mean the "510 connector" as you referenced. I assumed this "bullet" / connector to be the 510 connector (pin typically floating, spring or friction fit or male-theaded), that makes contact with the battery...

    Question Regarding Mech Circuits

RE: T.M.G.510 (Tube mech gun & 510 bullets) I would like to read about this (510 contacts leaving a mech like a bullet). Are you aware of this ever happening? Would appreciate any links on this as I have never heard or even considered this a possiblity in that the 510's in all my atty's are...

    Question Regarding Mech Circuits

jolly_st_nic, I am assuming, from various replies, you understand that a loose terminal connection is not likely going to produce a "short". Most likely simply an open circuit, possibly an intermittent open circuit. To produce a short the coil(s) would need to actually move to the point it...

    Question Regarding Mech Circuits

Not always the case. Many of us (myself included) run negative contact center pin depending on mech design. Example(s): 1) I prefer mech vents (actually all mods for that matter) to be located at bottom of device (away from face & body when in hand or in use). So following additional comments...
