This will be quite an interesting experiment. Butterfly Bait and Calipitter Chow don't share a common flavouring between them, but all the individual components are complimentary to each other. It may be difficult to get the balance just right, but it will definitely be a complex flavour...

Butterfly Bait changes drastically with steeping, so it's very likely to help. You can speed up the steeping process by dropping the bottle in a cup of very hot water and then shaking it vigourously once the water's cooled. On the other hand, I like the Calipitter Chow a bit better myself ;)

I used to put Butterfly Bait through an Orion with coils between .9 and 1.2 ohms and through 1.8 to 2 ohm Boges/Smoktechs using stacked Tenergies (shhh! don't try that at home) without a sour taste at all. Doesn't answer your question, but maybe there are (an) other factor(s) involved.
