Hi I have a fairly old Xtar VC4 and it appears to overcharge. I read the specs and it says cutoff voltage 4.2V but when I wait for the charger to say "FULL" I measure the battery with a multimeter and it reads 4.8V. It also takes some time after the charger reads 4.2V to read "FULL". Batteries...

I bought a Xtar VC8 on Mar 21 2022 and it died today May 15th. It wont turn on and smells burnt. My batteries thankfully are ok. Any ideas of what might have killed it? I really like it and it was supposed to be a good brand.
