I won a Sophia V2 in this month's By Leo give-away - yes - wholly unexpected things happen sometimes  Thank you Billie, once more.

Billie sent it on the 22nd, it just arrived today the 24th in the morning. This is pure magic, I never experienced something like this quick within Austria ... ;)
You are most welcome! :)
It takes about 1-2 days for normal mailing packagees to leave the country. Usually the delay comes when it enters the receiving country's Customs :(

Thanks WHighlights, I forgot about Q's video. (How could I have, his review vids are among the best instructional ones out there always.)
Do you have a V2, and if so, how're you liking it?
I'm still on the fence between a V2 or a second calix.
I run several V1's, but want to make sure I've got a rebuildable one without the nr-r-nr requirements.

Hangs head ... I have a V2 bought on the classies months ago and a new cage bought over a month ago. They're still looking at me waiting to be set up. d'oh. That's why I had the link for Qorax handy. I intended to set it up this weekend but those plans went south as RL interfered again.

In the meantime, I have a Pico in hand and a Calix V2 on another mod next to me so life is still good.

Hi Billie,
I was trying to look at the Sophia2 video on your website and it won't let me. Is there a way to view it?
I am sorry for the late reply. Due to the new law we are not allowed to post any videos but we are working on a solution for that :(

Yes, I'm very happy with the Pico and Calix. They're keeping me sane while my Sophia and Apollo (which is getting a BF pin) sit on the sideline. If I ever manage to get everything set up I should do a family picture, including my Dripper Pro that started my By Leo adventure. :)

Don't be sorry, it's the middle of the night for you.
New law? Good grief, would you elaborate on this? Is the video pornographic? LOL.

I noticed all the official ByLeo videos are gone from YouTube...

This is utter nonsense.

How do these governments think they can censor us like this???

Smoking took hundreds of years to become the devil, and vaping took a decade or less...

Makes me very sad to be a human, when the majority are such blind sheep.

My Sophia v2 arrived a couple of days ago, and I washed it out, though I don't think that's usually necessary for byLeo gear.
Billie, tell me if I'm wrong, but I think you folks clean all your products thoroughly of machine oils etc. Right?

So, I took a stab at a build, from memory of Qorax's vid (Q: your vids are classic).

LOL. I put it all together and when I looked at it, both leads were entering the Sophia at the same spot, instead of opposite sides. Hard to describe better. Ended up looking kind of like a vertical coil.
I should have taken a pic to post.
I think I wrapped both leads in the same direction instead of opposite directions?
Weirdist looking coil I've ever seen.
Anyway, redid it this afternoon, after relooking at the Q vid.
Wow, I'm impressed. I think the v2 is easily as good as the v1, and I think I like it better.
Same flavor, excellent and I think better vapor, no worries about nr-r-nr or ceramics.
The only negative, which I suspect will decrease with experience, is that I found the first step in the building quite hard. Holding the top part against the coil and twisting the wire was tough, even using Q's technique.
I'd like to see the original byLeo vid, but it's not available, because the EU thinks it's porn or something equally harmful.
Perhaps Billie can find a way to make it available privately.
In short, great little atty, which I without reservation recommend to Sophia lovers.

.
I think Qorax' video is somewhat more detailed, if I remember correctly. Believe me - it does get easier. The first time, yes, it was ... bumpy. The most important insight (after the first one: how not to short the V2 :pervy: by not considering the small place between the wire coming down and the body) for me was that I bring the wire down in line with the coil's cross section (not it's length ... as illustrated on this pic of mine , hope I could make myself comprehensible) .

The - let's say - third or fourth time you make it will be a revelation - how easy and quick it can be.

Thanks for your pics. In fact, yesterday when I looked at my first weird coil I found your post on the rauchen forum and realized just how wrong my coil was.

And today, the Sophia is leaking fairly profusely, and gurgling thanks to the leaking. I'll need to check the wicking I imagine. Never had a leak with old Sophia, but that was silica which I've always thought to be more foolproof. (Just as my Calix v2 began leaking.) Bad wicking day to go along with my bad hair day is my guess.

Yes, they go through 2 baths between machining and assembly, but it is always recommended to wash them again as they are all washed together :)

That "rauchen"-coil is definitely not my first one :D , at first I did not know that the direction I bring down the wire helps to maintain a tidy coil, I mean in order not to disrupt the evenness of the coil.

As for leaking: Sophia The First's ceramic cup is pretty tolerant as to how much you open the liquid control. In comparison, maybe you could try to close it just a bit more for V2. It never went as far as leaking but I discovered this "close just a bit more" when I experienced a bit of gurgling - but just once and never more.

Try putting the coil a little bit higher . If you have it very close to the air intake, it might pass some liquid inside :)

I just measured the height of the coil from the build deck. It's not that easy to measure, but as best as I can, it's 1mm. That's lower than Qorax's video suggested (which was 1.2-1.5mm.)
So I'll raise it a bit when I get back home, as I'm going to be traveling.

But, help me out here Billie.
With a new v2/cage combination, I close the juice control at night and in the morning my Radius is covered with liquid.
How can this happen with the juice control closed?

Also, I can vape for quite a long time with the juice control closed, and it vapes very nicely. I never get any leakage when I vape with it closed.
I don't get this either.

Last, the threading/unthreading of the upper and lower parts of the v2 are rough (which my Sophia v1s never were.)
It can be very difficult to thread the two together and to open and close the juice control.
Will this diminish over time, or is there something I can do to smooth it out, or is there another problem?

When it vapes well (which it is when it's not leaking) it vapes very well, with good vapor and good flavor.
But, I'm getting frustrated and it's probably me, since my Calix P3 Elegance is still leaking from the airflow hole, while my Calix Pico is running flawlessly. What's with me?

This shows loss of vaccum in the tank. Please check the tube for cracks and the o rings for tears. We will send you a new tube and o ring set for your Cage v2. Please PM your order reference number.
