This has probably been asked before but I just bought a Vamo V5 kit and I did buy extra 18350 batteries as well. After reading on here I see that I can also use 1 18650 battery in place of the 2. I have an Ultrafire flashlight that takes two 18650 batteries. The batteries say "BRC 18650 3000mAH, 3.7V Li-ion" it also says it has a charge protection circuit on it. Can these be safely used in my Vamo?

No,,, regulated APV's require high drain IMR safer chemistry / hybrid unprotected batteries.
Those BRC batteries are ultrafires which are ICR protected = not suitable for vaping use.
Any battery with fire in its name should be avoided for vaping purposes, bottom of the barrel very questionable quality.

I'd caution you against stacking the 18350's also.
