18650 recomendations for DNA30 NOT LOW OHM

Like the title says I'm looking for 18650 recomendations for a DNA30 build im starting. Probably will use mostly between 1.1-1.6 ohm and 7-14 watt. Not cloud chasing just want decent battery life SAFELY. Just using the Evolv chip for the safety and regulation(Plus gotta admit I like the display). Most of the results i get searching are either too old to be relevant or going in sub-ohm builds,so not aplicable.

So far i'm thinking either:

• Sony VTC5 18650 30A 2600mah

or

• or Efest IMR18650 20A 2500mah (The purple ones) although on thier sight a 3100mah 35A is mentioned but I can't find it.

Are either of these choices good for my intended use? Any better sugestions? I'm open to any input. BTW its gonna use only 1 battery and be charged intermittently in a battery pack mod's internal 1a (I think) charger. Pack currently has 2 LG18650 in it; but they are only 2c so that's going to change.

Yeah kinda leaning that way. Don't know where to buy from though. Got some that ended up being fakes from amazon and i dont trust eBay for things like batteries. Anybody got recomendations for good suppliers?

According to the spec sheet, the max input current is 12A, so a 15A cell will give you that plus a little wiggle room. A 30A cell will perform better (less voltage drop, closer actual capacity to advertised mAh), and they're not that much more than other cells.

I have a DNA 30 device coming but use the Efest 2500mAh 35A 18350 as my first choice. But then I also have a pair of the VTC4 and the VTC5 which don't seem to last as long as the Efest. All of my batteries where bought from 101 Vape. I have become a big fan of the Efest purple batteries in all sizes.

Consider 12 amps your figure, pushing a battery near its amp limit will run it down faster regardless of mah. As it stresses the battery more. I would use a 20 amp minimum battery. The 30 should be even better battery life at the given mah ratings.
